Lunar Eclipse

A Lunar eclipse is a very special Full Moon. Full Moons in general, and lunar eclipses in particular, are times of heightened awareness to our intuition and emotions. Decisions we make, things we let go of, and things we finish during this time. It is an excellent time to give up an old habit.

  • ï‚‚ A Lunar eclipse occurs at a Full Moon.
  • ï‚‚ A Solar eclipse occurs at a New Moon.
  • ï‚‚ During a Lunar eclipse, the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon casting a shadow on the Moon.
  • ï‚‚ During a Solar eclipse, the Moon moves between the Sun and the Earth casting a shadow on the Earth.
  • ï‚‚ Lunar eclipses bring opportunities to change your inner life.
  • ï‚‚ Solar eclipses bring opportunities to change your outer life.
  • ï‚‚ Eclipses always come in pairs. If the first eclipse is a Lunar eclipse it will be followed around two weeks time by           a Solar eclipse at the Full Moon. If the first eclipse is a Solar it will be followed by a Lunar eclipse.
  • ï‚‚ In the time between eclipses something new and beautiful will be revealed from deep within you.

The Lunar Eclipse Process – Cleaning up your Vibrations

The Full Moon is the peak of the Moon’s cycle, and the beginning of the waning phase. During the two weeks following the Full Moon, the Moon decreases in light. This is a good period for working on ourselves, finalising things, processing information, wrap-ping up, and letting go of the things we no longer need.

Do this process anytime between the two weeks of the Lunar Eclipse and the next New Moon.

Step 1. Write down as many things as you can think of that you would like to bring to a close, finish, or end. E.G a situation, emotion, relationship or habit. If you have a few things you would like to let go off, just do 1 or 2 a day over the two weeks.

Step 2. The next part is a meditative exercise and will take about five to ten minutes a day. I find this best to do in the morning as it brings me to a great place to start the day, but you can do this whenever suits you the best. The exercise is on the next page.

Step 3. Congratulate yourself. Many people make a list in their head or write it down, but not many follow through and consciously choose to let go and change. They often wait until it gets so big that the decision seems to be made for them. You have just asked for assistance to clear out old energies and make room for the things you want to bring in. There is great power in this request and even greater empowerment when you choose to let go. You are doing a Great Job!

Step 4. If you would like to delve a little deeper I would recommend my mini course Emotional Release or a private consultation with me.

The Lunar Eclipse Process

Meditation Exercise

Find a quiet place to sit or lie down. Close your eyes and take a few deep breathes in and out. Relax your body and mind and when you feel ready, bring to your mind something that you would like to let go of, it might be a person, situation or even a place or time. Whatever it is, imagine it is gently floating in front of you. You have already felt and experienced the emotions, now you have become the observer, let it just be and float in front of you.

Now you see a thick rope flowing from the thing you want to let go of the other end is in your hands. Gently observe all the things that this rope is attaching to you. As you watch this scene unfolding you realise a lot of your precious energy is being used to hold onto these things. You invested a lot of your time and energy into this person place or situation and it didn’t work out the way you thought. It didn’t make you happy or make life easier. Look down at your hands and see the pain in your hands from the gripping, the hanging on.

You have been practising this need to hang on for so long that it feels familiar, an acceptable way to be. Your mind says who will I be if I don’t practise this, what will happen. Take a breath, become the observer again. Right now as you see yourself gripping and not willing to let go, begin to realise you are holding on to your obstacles, your resistances, these restrictions are holding you away from your dreams and desires. When you let go, you don’t let go of creating and directing your life and you certainly don’t let go of your dreams and desires, you just let go of all resistance.

Give yourself permission to let go and begin to lift your fingers one at a time from the rope. Feel the rope sliding smoothly through your hands. Something begins to shift, you feel a release, weight being lifted off your shoulders. You watch the rope leave your hands all that you have been hanging on to floats away like a balloon floating upwards. Wish it well on its new journey. A strong sense of love and peace moves around you.

Stay here as long as you like. When you feel ready take deep breathes and come back to your physical body and life. Open your eyes and smile.

You are love and you are loved, Om Shanti, Denise
