As Valentine’s Day approaches, we are surrounded by messages about love—what it should look like, how it should feel, and who we should share it with. But love is so much more than a holiday or a fleeting emotion. It is not just something we receive from another; it is something we embody, something we cultivate from within.

A New Perspective on Love as We Move Toward Valentine’s Day

Love, in its truest form, is not about attachment, expectation, or external validation. It is a state of being—one that flows freely when we align with our authentic selves. Yet for much of history, love has been shaped by societal norms, inherited beliefs, and the idea that to be loved, we must meet certain conditions.

As we move forward, we are invited to look at love in a new way. Not as something to be earned or proven, but as something we can live, breathe, and become. This shift reflects a greater movement happening in our world—the transition from the old, rigid structures of love to a more conscious, expansive, and soul-aligned way of connecting with ourselves and others.

A Love-Infused Breathwork Practice

Before we dive deeper, let’s take a moment to breathe, release, and open our hearts.

  1. First Breath: Take a deep breath in… and as you exhale, release anything heavy or out of sync with you. Let it all go.
  2. Second Breath: Breathe in the breath of life—imagine it as your favourite colour, filling you with healing and peace. Exhale that colour and feel it wrap around you like a warm, loving embrace.
  3. Third Breath: Inhale love… feel it fill every part of you. And as you exhale, send that love out into the world, helping others discover the love within them.

Now, let’s begin our journey into The Art of Love.

What Is Love?

Love is not just an emotion—it is a state of being. It is not something fleeting that comes and goes based on circumstances. Love is an ever-present space within us, pointing us toward the truth of our hearts and the answers we seek. It is alignment, enlightenment, and neutrality—a sacred space where there is no resistance, only truth.

Love does not ask us to compromise who we are; instead, it invites us to live in full authenticity, free from judgment or restriction. To put it simply, love is a space you create—a state where everything is allowed, embraced, and accepted.

Why Do We Seek Love Outside Ourselves?

Every interaction we have—with people, situations, or even objects—is a relationship. Relationships in the physical world are mirrors, reflecting back to us who we truly are.

From an early age, we are taught that the outside world holds more value than our inner knowing. We grow up believing that what others see, think, or approve of matters more than what we feel inside. This conditioning leads us to seek love externally, hoping that if others see us as worthy, then we must be.

But how do we return to our centre? Do we even know what that feels like?

The moment we stop seeking love externally and start being love internally, we set ourselves free.

5 Ways to Love Yourself & Discover Your Loving Truth

  1. Start from where you are. Right now, you have the opportunity to invite more love into your life.
  2. Find your loving truth. Close your eyes, breathe, and feel what is true for you.
  3. Know what you love. Align with what feels like love to you and release what doesn’t.
  4. Trust your loving wisdom. Your soul is always guiding you.
  5. Practice a loving perception. The more you practice shifting into love’s perspective, the more love you will receive.

The Three Levels of Love: Unconscious, Conscious, and Superconscious

Every archetype moves through three levels of awareness—each influencing our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Recognizing where we are in this journey allows us to rise in vibration, up-level, and integrate higher states of consciousness.

  • Unconscious Love: Driven by fear, conditioning, and external validation.
  • Conscious Love: Intentional and awakened, focused on growth and self-awareness.
  • Superconscious Love: Transcendent, connected to the higher self, the universe, and divine love.

The Evolution of Love from the Piscean Era to the Age of Aquarius

Family Love

  • Unconscious Love: Obligational love based on tradition or expectation.
  • Conscious Love: Nurturing, protective love with healthy boundaries.
  • Superconscious Love: Unconditional love that transcends duty and expectation.

As we transition into the Age of Aquarius, family love is shifting from obligation to conscious connection—rooted in respect, authenticity, and emotional awareness.

Romantic Love

  • Unconscious Love: Possessive, fear-based love driven by insecurity.
  • Conscious Love: Passionate, deep romantic love based on mutual respect.
  • Superconscious Love: Enduring love built on trust, mutual growth, and soul connection.

Love is no longer about control—it is about freedom and resonance.

Friend Love

  • Unconscious Love: Playful but superficial friendships.
  • Conscious Love: Trusting, loyal friendships with emotional depth.
  • Superconscious Love: Profound, spiritual friendships that last a lifetime.

The Age of Aquarius invites us to create friendships that uplift and expand us.

Self-Love

  • Unconscious Love: Self-worth based on external validation.
  • Conscious Love: Self-acceptance and nurturing through self-care.
  • Superconscious Love: Universal love, recognizing oneself as a part of the infinite.

You don’t have to prove your worth—you already are enough.

Final Words: You Are Love

Just by being here today, you have lifted your vibration. You have aligned with the energy of love. And from this space, you will create more opportunities for love to flow into your life.

You are worthy of heaps and heaps of love. Open your heart, receive it fully, and let it pour into every part of your life.
