You Are Worthy
Have you ever questioned whether you’re flawed? A student recently asked me, “Are we all flawed, F-L-A-W-E-D?” This question led me to reflect on a truth I hold dear: None of us are flawed.
We often carry the idea that we should know or be more than we are. But life isn’t about being perfect—it’s about discovering your authenticity, learning to express it, and living in alignment with it. You’re not flawed; you’re a unique piece of a much larger puzzle, here to see and experience life from your own perspective.
The Layers That Cover Our Authenticity
Sometimes, our perspectives and actions are influenced by beliefs and ideas we’ve absorbed—beliefs that may not align with our soul’s purpose. We often take these beliefs on because they seem necessary for survival at the time.
Many of these beliefs stem from unprocessed traumas or generational patterns. Perhaps your parents or grandparents taught you to suppress emotions, “push through,” or ignore your intuition. While these strategies may have worked for them in a different time, continuing to live by them without question can keep you disconnected from your authentic self.
Breaking Free from Limiting Beliefs
Here’s the process of transformation in its simplest form:
- Change the belief. Your perception shifts when you uncover and replace outdated beliefs.
- Change the feelings. As beliefs shift, your emotions naturally align with the new perspective.
- Change the thoughts. New feelings give rise to empowering thoughts.
- Change the behavior. Your actions align with the new belief, and you naturally move in a positive direction.
- Change the experience. With aligned actions, you create a reality that reflects your authentic self.
Finding the Root Beliefs
If you’re experiencing something you don’t prefer, it’s not because you’re flawed. It simply means you’ve shifted into a state that’s not aligned with your passion or excitement. When this happens, ask yourself:
“What reason would I have for leaving the state I prefer to be in?”
Digging deeper, you can uncover the beliefs that drive your actions. Often, these beliefs wrap themselves in layers, hiding like an overprotective parent who doesn’t trust you to make decisions without them.
To get to the root, ask:
“What would I have to believe is true for this situation to feel necessary or beneficial?”
When you bring full awareness to these beliefs, they often reveal themselves as outdated or illogical. Once you see that they no longer serve you, the belief begins to dissolve.
Gratitude and Release
Rather than fighting or rejecting these beliefs, approach them with gratitude. Acknowledge the role they’ve played in protecting or guiding you. Say:
“Thank you for all you’ve done for me. Your job is complete now, and I release you to align with my highest good.”
This practice allows you to integrate the lessons these beliefs brought while freeing yourself from their limitations.
You Are Worthy
At the root of many limiting beliefs, you’ll find core ideas like:
- I’m not worthy.
- I’m not deserving.
- I’m not lovable.
But let me tell you this: You are worthy.
If you exist, you are inherently worthy in the eyes of Source, the Universe, or whatever higher power you believe in. Your existence is proof that you’re a vital part of this vast, interconnected universe.
To believe you’re unworthy is to argue with existence itself. You are not the exception to the rule.
Success and Meaning
Success means different things to different people. For one person, it might mean nurturing a family and contributing to their community. For another, it might mean building a thriving business or exploring creative passions. Whatever success means to you, it should come from a place of alignment with your authentic self.
Life itself has no inherent meaning except the meaning you give it. Instead of looking for meaning outside yourself, focus on creating something meaningful within.
